Warning about 'single software' in family medicine

HEKİMSEN President Uzm.

Dr.

Adil Kurban stated that the transition to a single software application in family medicine is being imposed without the legal infrastructure being completed, highlighting that this process poses serious legal and professional risks for physicians.

Speaking at a live-streamed panel, Kurban criticized the Health Ministry's transition to the SBABS (single software) application, emphasizing that system changes imposed without legal infrastructure leave physicians in a difficult position.

He noted that this process should not be viewed merely as a technical software change, as it harbors serious issues regarding legislation, information security, and free market principles.

Kurban also mentioned the need for Turkey's national operating system, stating that without it, absolute information security cannot be discussed.

He argued that the Ministry's preference could eliminate all AHBS companies and potentially leave over a thousand programmers unemployed.

He expressed disapproval of the single software imposition, claiming it contradicts free market principles and would lead to monopolization and a decline in service quality.
