New Development in the Case Against Fatma Zehra Kınık: Complaint Withdrawn

The mother of Batın Barlas Çeki, who lost his life due to a collision with a vehicle driven by Fatma Zehra Kınık in Beykoz, has withdrawn her complaint against Kınık.
On July 9, 2024, Fatma Zehra Kınık, daughter of former Kızılay President Kerem Kınık, collided with a motorcycle driven by Yavuz Selim Öztürk.
Batın Barlas Çeki, a 17-year-old passenger on the motorcycle, lost his life in this accident.
Fatma Zehra Kınık was sentenced to 4 years and 2 months in prison for 'causing the death of one person and injuring multiple people by negligence,' and her driver's license was revoked for two years.
During the trial process, Batın Barlas Çeki's mother, Hasret Doğan, submitted a petition to the Anadolu 8th High Criminal Court, stating that she has withdrawn her complaint against Kınık.
The petition included the statement, 'I withdraw my complaint against the defendant Fatma Zehra Kınık Demir.
All my material and moral damages have been compensated.
I have no claims for material or moral compensation from the defendant.
I also withdraw my appeal.'
