Critical Meeting at Samsun Central OSB: Agenda Focuses on Samsun-Mersin Industrial Corridor

The Board Meeting of the Samsun Central Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) was held under the chairmanship of Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı.
The meeting primarily addressed the works carried out in alignment with the Samsun-Mersin Industrial Corridor, which is part of the first phase of the Industrial Master Plan prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, as well as regional technoparks, daycare centers, and university-industry collaborations.
One of the significant agenda items was the Samsun-Centered Regional Technopark Project, which is being implemented in accordance with the Samsun-Mersin Industrial Corridor studies.
Topics discussed included legislation, management structure, partner institutions and organizations, financial resources, and the allocation of real estate and buildings belonging to the Central OSB to the regional technopark.
Additionally, processes regarding the establishment of the technopark and the formation of the founding company in collaboration with the Middle Black Sea Development Agency (OKA) were discussed, and it was decided to authorize the OSB Regional Director for these works.
OKA Secretary General Mehlika Dicle provided information to the Board regarding ongoing activities.
The meeting also brought up projects planned to be carried out between Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) Yeşilyurt Iron and Steel Vocational School and the Central OSB.
Information was shared by Prof.
Dr.
Gökhan Demir, Director of OMÜ Yeşilyurt Iron and Steel Vocational School, about projects such as load-carrying robots, automatic cleaning and transportation systems for solar panels, PLC and RF-controlled star-delta starting systems for three-phase asynchronous motors, advanced biological treatment of industrial waste, and autonomous mini-drone design and applied training projects.
The meeting concluded with evaluations aimed at further strengthening the ongoing efforts in industry, technology, and education within the Samsun Central OSB.
